Our client in UK is looking for a experiences Microsoft UC Architect (Teams, Skype for Business, Voice)

Background

To support our growth plans we are seeking a Unified Communications Pre Sales architect to join our technical team to support us in the following areas:

  • Technical pre sales
  • Architecture design activities for opportunities that we have won

You would be engaged in a variety of opportunities and existing engagements and in a variety of sectors.  We need someone with experience of Skype for Business, Teams, O365 and Voice technologies such as Ribbon, Audio Codes and other SBC vendors.

The Role

  • Technical Pre Sales

            o To support the sales team technically

            o Customers presentations demonstrating our capability based on core products and at times tailored bespoke solutions

            o Writing technical proposals

            o Obtaining approvals to designs from delivery and operational teams

            o Producing costed solutions, for deployment and support

            o Technically represent the connect in front of the customer and their 3rd parties

  • Architecture & Design

            o To work alongside service, account and delivery teams acting as Technical design Authority

            o Producing high level designs

            o Creating detailed designs

            o Producing configurations

            o Implementing configurations

            o Testing & turn up

            o PoCs and Pilots

            o Taking a principle role in major technical issues during the project lifecycle

            o Handover to support teams and technical knowledge share

            o Hypercare support

            o Provide technical governance and peer review of other colleagues work

            o Chair a Technical Review Board when required

            o Pursue additional sales opportunities alongside the Service and Account teams for existing customers

Skills requirements:

  • The successful candidate for this role will require excellent technical experience of:

             o Microsoft Teams

             o Microsoft Lync 2013\Skype for Business 2015 \ Skype for Business 2019

             o Audio Codes / Ribbon SBCs / SBA

             o Networking (including WAN / LAN)

             o Traditional voice technologies and features

             o O365 (SharePoint, OneDrive, Exchange and other O365 areas)

             o Call Centre technologies based on MS UC technologies

             o Preferably knowledge of Video integration with MS UC technologies

             o Preferably knowledge of IP Hard phone endpoints such as Poly

  • Have knowledge and practical experience of working with telecommunications carriers and PBX suppliers
  • Good knowledge of the Telecommunication market
  • Candidate must demonstrate ability to deliver outstanding service in a pressure environment
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including effective verbal and written communication in English, and strong influencing and networking skills. They must feel comfortable with discussing all areas of IT with different levels of seniority and converse clearly with all levels of IT competent users.
  • Positive attitude towards customer service and demonstrate clear business focus and desire to work.
  • Strong teamwork skills and able to work under own initiative when required.
  • Strong in customer environment (able to present at senior technical / business levels and CIO level if required)
  • Logical thinker able to trouble shoot systematically
  • Ability to coordinate other technical specialists and staffing delegation
  • 10 years Design / Architecture experience
  • Background in Voice is preferable
  • Detail orientation
  • Able to express technical issues in a Business Manner
  • Good Excel Skills / reporting skills
  • Demonstrates tenacity and resolve in pursuing critical outcomes.
  • Patience and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
  • Can do attitude, focused on meeting deadlines and on high quality deliverables.
  • Flexible approach to working hours and travel.
  • Language skills: Excellent English skills (reading, talking and writing)
  • University level education
