Description

Context

The main scope is the lifecycle management of quality and technical documentation that’s used to perform the maintenance. The goal is to decommission a legacy application that is currently used for this purpose and implement similar functionality in OpenText Content Suite. An important part of the project will also involve the migration of the content from this legacy application to Content Suite.

Goal

Act as a OpenText content suite technical expert, with the necessary attention for the functional scope, user experience and unit testing of the solution.

As a technical consultant, you will be responsible for the implementation of the technical design of the to-be solution. Besides that, you will play a key role in the migration of the content from the legacy application to OpenText Content Suite, both in designing the migration approach and in executing the migration.

Result areas

1. Technical and architectural knowledge

• Deep technical knowledge & architectural insights in:
  • OpenText Content Server, Workflows, WebReports, LiveReports, SmartUI, Perspectives, Connected Workspaces, Search, Forms, Content Server database, ActiveView
  • HTML, CSS, JavaScript and libraries/frameworks like jQuery, bootstrap to create modern and responsive screens in SmartUI
  • Development skills in the area of WebReports and web technologies (HTML, JavaScript, jQuery, …)
  • Migration tools required to do a migration from a legacy application to Content Server: Object Importer, XML import, Powertools for Deployments, but also tools for data manipulation and XML transformation to transform source data to the required formats for importing into content server.
• Experience with discussion with enterprise architecture and security departments

• Thorough functional insights with regard to:

• • • Enterprise Content Management principles and information architecture.

• Workflows, metadata, categories, connected workspaces, search, permissions and taxonomies.

1. • Experience in working in an agile environment with sprints, stand-ups and interpreting user stories.
2. Proven Record of multiple implementations

• Proven record of implementations on OpenText Content Suite (+5 years)
• Proven record of developing complex WebReport based applications
• Proven record in migration projects (migrating to content server)
• Committed to follow up on the trends and evolutions of OpenText Content Suite
• OpenText content server certification is a must
